The Board of Directors of Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria has officially announced the appointment of Bayo Ajayi as the Acting CEO of RMB Nigeria, a decision that has received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Emrie Brown, CEO of RMB and Chairman of the RMB Nigeria Board, expressed confidence in Ajayi’s leadership, stating, “I welcome Bayo Ajayi as the Acting CEO, and I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue to effectively partner our clients, grow the business and positively contribute to Nigeria’s economy.”
Ajayi, who previously served as an executive director on the RMB Nigeria Board and held the position of Chief Finance Officer at RMB Nigeria, brings extensive experience to his new role. With a background encompassing various leadership positions in the banking sector across Nigeria and Africa over the last 24 years, Ajayi is recognized for delivering results and creating value for clients and stakeholders.

Ajayi holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK.
