First Bank of Nigeria Launches Groundbreaking Humanoid Robot

In a bid to revolutionize the Nigerian banking sector and provide innovative financial solutions, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, the country’s premier financial institution and a leading provider of financial inclusion services, has unveiled the first-ever Humanoid Robot in Nigeria’s financial services space.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology such as Video Banking and Artificial Intelligence (AI), this humanoid robot takes on the role of a friendly branch staff, interacting with customers and delivering exceptional service. Sporting a touch screen on its chest, the robot engages customers in conversations and performs various tasks, including responding to inquiries regarding cash deposits, withdrawals, and ATM cards.

Notably, the humanoid robot plays a significant role in complaint management. Customers can conveniently log complaints using QR codes, and the robot generates feedback within the advised time, ensuring prompt resolution.

Furthermore, the Humanoid Robot acts as a valuable source of information, keeping customers up to date with the latest developments at the bank. It shares news about product launches, upgrades, and other relevant information designed to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.

The introduction of this humanoid robot reinforces First Bank of Nigeria’s commitment to innovation and transforming the banking landscape. Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, the CEO of FirstBank Group, expressed his excitement about this initiative, emphasizing that it represents a purposeful stride towards meeting the evolving needs of customers in the rapidly advancing digital world. Dr. Adeduntan further stated that the bank’s dedication to delivering unparalleled banking services remains unwavering, and they will continue to innovate to exceed customer expectations.

The Humanoid Robot is a central feature of First Bank’s Digital Experience Centre, a state-of-the-art self-service branch that was launched in December 2021. This groundbreaking initiative aims to offer customers an enhanced banking experience through digital technology.

The bank plans to expand its use of humanoid robots by deploying another one in its upcoming Digital Experience Centre, scheduled to be announced in the coming months. With these innovative strides, First Bank of Nigeria reaffirms its position as a leader in the financial industry, leveraging technology to provide exceptional services and meet the evolving demands of its customers.
