“APC Has Done Very Well Despite Economic Challenges,” Says Governor Uzodimma
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), speaking at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, affirmed that despite prevailing economic difficulties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has delivered significant benefits to Nigerians. Uzodimma made these remarks following a meeting with APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside other governors from the forum.
The PGF, which represents all APC-serving governors, convened to strengthen ties with the party’s leadership and extend condolences to Ganduje, who recently lost his mother-in-law. Uzodimma emphasized the APC’s accomplishments, attributing ongoing economic challenges to global issues rather than local governance failures.
“Politically speaking, we don’t need to over-flog the horse; the truth of the matter is that the APC has done very well in Nigeria,” Governor Uzodimma asserted, highlighting President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s efforts to tackle current economic hardships inherited upon assuming office.
He expressed confidence in the government’s ability to navigate these challenges successfully, suggesting that Nigerians would soon experience improvements under current policies.
The governor reiterated the forum’s commitment to supporting and encouraging APC leadership, affirming optimism in the party’s prospects for victory in the forthcoming Edo governorship election.
Ganduje, welcoming the governors, expressed satisfaction with their visit, describing it as a significant boost for the party. He pledged the party’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of its governors, acknowledging their contributions to APC’s growth and stability.
Governor Uzodimma concluded by emphasizing APC’s majority representation across states and federal levels, underscoring the party’s readiness for electoral contests based on numerical strength and governance achievements.
