Korra Obidi Seeks Public Support for Legal Battle Over Parental Rights

Renowned dancer and entertainer, Korra Obidi, has taken a decisive step in her quest to assert her parental rights by launching a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to cover legal expenses.

Expressing heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support she has received thus far, Obidi conveyed her gratitude in a recent update regarding the ongoing GoFundMe initiative.

“I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Your support means the world to me,” Obidi remarked, highlighting the positive momentum of the campaign. “The contributions are coming in, and I’ve engaged legal counsel. We’re moving forward.”

Obidi’s decision to pursue legal action appears rooted in her ongoing challenges with her former partner, marking a significant development in their tumultuous separation.

With a steadfast determination to safeguard her role as a mother and secure unrestricted access to her children, Obidi emphasized the importance of her legal endeavor.

“My priority is ensuring accountability for the well-being of my children and reclaiming my rights as their mother,” she affirmed. “No longer will videos featuring my children be unlawfully removed from my platform, and they will have the freedom to visit Nigeria whenever they choose.”

In a poignant video message, Obidi candidly shared the obstacles she has faced, detailing how her former partner had hindered her ability to share moments with her children on social media platforms, integral to her professional identity as an entertainer.

“After two years of absence, he returns and systematically erases my presence with our children from my social media,” Obidi lamented, underscoring the urgency of her plea for assistance. “Each deletion diminishes my platform, jeopardizing my livelihood and visibility.”

In a heartfelt appeal to her followers, Obidi implored for solidarity in her cause, emphasizing the critical role of legal support in reclaiming her parental rights.

“Just because I’m a mother who dances and creates music doesn’t negate my rights as a parent,” Obidi conveyed in a recent Instagram post. “Join me in this fight to restore what rightfully belongs to me.”

As Obidi embarks on this legal journey, her unwavering determination and the support of her community stand as testament to the resilience of a mother advocating for her children’s welfare and her rightful place in their lives.
