President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of new Executive Directors in two key agencies, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), both falling under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, released a statement in Abuja to convey the appointments.
In the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the following Executive Directors have been appointed:
(A) Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet – Executive Director, Finance and Administration;
(B) Engr. Olalekan Badmus – Executive Director, Marine & Operations;
(C) Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar – Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services.
For the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the President appointed:
(D) Mr. Jibril Abba – Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services;
(E) Mr. Chudi Offodile – Executive Director, Finance and Administration;
(F) Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi – Executive Director, Operations.
The statement emphasized President Tinubu’s confidence in the appointees, based on their impressive profiles. It is expected that the newly appointed Executive Directors will diligently execute their collective mandate, contributing significantly to the Marine & Blue Economy sector’s growth in Nigeria’s GDP.
