Resumption of Commercial Flights in Kebbi State Set to Boost Economic Activities

Abubakar Gari Malam, the Special Adviser to the Kebbi State governor on Infrastructure, has emphasized that the recommencement of commercial flights to the state capital will significantly enhance the economic activities of the people.

Speaking to journalists at Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi, Malam highlighted the state’s abundant agricultural resources, tourist attraction spots, and rich cultural festivals. With the resumption of flights, he anticipates increased interest from tourists and investors, facilitating easy travel for business purposes and thereby fostering economic growth among the local populace.

Malam underscored the benefits of flight resumption for the people of Kebbi in terms of security and cost savings. Previously, passengers traveling from Lagos and Abuja had to land in Sokoto and then drive to Kebbi. The initiative to resume flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays was attributed to Governor Nasir Idris in his commitment to delivering tangible benefits to the state’s residents.

Expressing delight about the flight’s resumption, Malam expressed confidence that passengers would patronize the airline due to its professional operations. He called on the people of the state to extend maximum support to Governor Idris’s administration, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure development and the promotion of their welfare.

Additionally, Malam urged passengers in the state to conduct themselves maturely and maintain a cooperative attitude with airport and airline officials, contributing to the success of flight operations at the airport.
