Experts are gearing up to delve into the critical role of fintech and financial inclusion in fostering citizen empowerment and driving economic growth.
Scheduled to take place at the Nigeria Fintech & Financial Inclusion Roundtable 2024, the event is slated for Friday, April 26, 2024, in Lagos.
Dr. Umaru Kwairanga, Group Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), and Dr. Apochi Agada, Group Managing Director/CEO of Unified Payment Services Limited, will lead the discussions as chairman and keynote speaker, respectively.
The Roundtable will also feature esteemed speakers such as Adekunbi Ademiluyi, Managing Director/CEO of HumanManager Limited; Dr. Stanley Jacob, Vice President of the Fintech Association of Nigeria; and Dr. Bode Oguntoke, Group Head of Audit at FBN Holdings Plc.
Prince Cookey, the convener of the Roundtable and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Business Journal Media Group, described the event as a significant gathering of top executives and stakeholders from various sectors, including banking, fintech, telecom, insurance, media, and the general public.
Cookey outlined the objectives of the Roundtable, which include evaluating the growth of fintechs in the Nigerian financial system over the past decade, analyzing the relationship between banks and fintechs, exploring the convergence of banking, telecom, and insurance in promoting financial inclusion, and assessing the challenges faced by fintechs and financial inclusion in Nigeria. Additionally, the event aims to project the future trajectory of these financial concepts.
The Roundtable is open to professionals in the banking, fintech, telecom, capital market, insurance, and media sectors, as well as members of the general public, with no registration fee required.
