Sevilla Lands Nigerian Striker Akor Adams in Blockbuster ₦8 Billion Deal

Spanish giants Sevilla FC have secured the signing of Nigerian forward Akor Adams in a massive 4.5-year deal worth over ₦8 billion (€5 million).

The 24-year-old Benue-born striker, who joins from Ligue 1 side Montpellier, will don the number 15 jersey. Adams made 15 appearances this season, recording three goals and three assists, and was Montpellier’s top scorer last season.

At 190cm tall, Adams is expected to add physicality and a traditional target-man style to Sevilla’s attack. He will join fellow Super Eagles stars Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho, though Iheanacho may depart during the winter window.

With Sevilla scoring just 24 goals in 21 La Liga games, Adams is seen as the perfect fit for manager García Pimienta’s tactical setup. He could form a dynamic partnership with Dodi Lukebakio and Isaac Romero, as the club aims to boost their attacking output in the second half of the season.

Adams is set to be available for Sevilla’s upcoming clash against Getafe, marking the beginning of a promising chapter in his career.
