Super Eagles Ready to Depart Libya After Difficult Stay

The Super Eagles players and officials are preparing to leave Libya after enduring over 14 hours of mistreatment from the host country on Sunday.

This information was confirmed by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, via her X account.

She wrote, “Super Eagles team now boarding. Journey mercies to all of them.”

Player Bruno Onyemaechi also shared his relief, stating, “Me and Libya, I don wash my hands commot. Nothing concerns me and una again. Thank God I’m going back.”

The Nigerian team had faced challenges earlier, as Libyan authorities allegedly denied permission for their chartered flight to refuel for their return to Nigeria.
