Tinubu Signs Record N54.9 Trillion 2025 Budget Into Law

President Bola Tinubu has officially signed the N54.9 trillion 2025 budget into law, marking a 99.96% increase from the N27.5 trillion allocated in 2024.

The budget, initially proposed at N49.7 trillion, underwent revisions before receiving approval from the National Assembly on February 13. Tinubu signed the final version into law on February 28.

  • Statutory transfers: N3.65 trillion
  • Recurrent (non-debt) expenditure: N13.64 trillion
