Upbeat Centre Hosts Successful Children’s Fun Day, Promotes Health and Life Skills

Upbeat Centre, Nigeria’s leading trampoline and recreation park, recently held a successful Children’s Fun Day as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Partnering with the One African Child Foundation, the event welcomed children from underserved communities, offering them a day of fun-filled physical activities and learning.

More than just entertainment, the event aimed to teach the children key life skills, inspired by Upbeat Centre’s upcoming comic series The Hoppa. The series, which emphasizes teamwork, health, fitness, and self-confidence, shaped the day’s activities, providing a mix of recreation and education.

Speaking about the impact of the event, Upbeat Centre’s Operations Manager, Babatunde Akingbola, expressed his satisfaction. “Hosting the Children’s Fun Day was an incredibly fulfilling experience. This day was more than just fun – it was about instilling valuable lessons in the children, inspired by The Hoppa curriculum. We are proud to collaborate with the One African Child Foundation and thrilled to see the positive impact on the children,” Akingbola said.

The children took part in trampoline jumps, relay races, and wall climbing—activities designed to encourage teamwork, resilience, and a healthy lifestyle. These physical exercises aligned with The Hoppa’s focus on fitness and determination, fostering healthy competition and cooperation among the children.

Interactive workshops were also held to educate the children on the dangers of screen addiction, and the importance of a balanced diet and regular exercise. The sessions, based on The Hoppa’s Wellbeing & Safety and Food & Nutrition themes, offered practical advice that the children could incorporate into their daily lives.

Upbeat Centre’s Fun Day aligns with the company’s broader mission of promoting health and well-being, particularly among children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The event also reinforces the Centre’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.

As West Africa’s premier trampoline and recreation park, Upbeat Centre is dedicated to fostering active lifestyles through its state-of-the-art facilities and programs. The Centre remains committed to creating positive experiences for families, schools, and communities while prioritizing safety, inclusivity, and community engagement.

For the children in attendance, the Fun Day wasn’t just an escape—it was a chance to learn, grow, and gain confidence through play and education.
