
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has awarded Zenith Bank Plc a training grant to facilitate its adoption of Microsoft Azure, a hyperscale cloud platform aimed at enhancing the bank’s digital infrastructure.
The initiative will bolster Zenith Bank’s data processing and storage capabilities, improving transaction speed, security, and reliability while expanding its digital banking services. The grant will also fund training for the bank’s senior managers and personnel, focusing on governance, financial management, and change management practices to ensure seamless integration of the cloud technology.
USTDA Director Enoh Ebong highlighted the project as part of the agency’s commitment to deploying advanced U.S. digital infrastructure in partner nations, emphasizing its role in safeguarding data privacy and fostering economic growth.
Zenith Bank’s Group Managing Director, Adaora Umeoji, expressed optimism about the collaboration, describing it as a step toward driving financial inclusion and sustainable growth across Africa.
